This is the quick, plain-English version of how ML4Schools looks after your information. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
What we know about you
Not much. Only what we need to run your learning:
- your name and school email
- your year level and a school ID number
- your progress: the lessons you've done, your quiz answers, and what you make in the activities
We don't ask for private things like your health, religion, or background.
What we do with it
We use it to run your account, show you lessons, let your teacher see how you're going, and make the platform better.
What we never do
- We never sell your information.
- We never show you ads.
- We don't track you around other websites.
- We don't use your information to build a profile of you.
The AI bit
ML4Schools teaches you how AI works. In the hands-on machine-learning activities, the AI runs right there in your web browser. The stuff you experiment with stays on your device and isn't sent to us. Pretty fitting for a place that teaches AI.
Where it's kept
Safely, in Australia (on Google's secure cloud in Sydney). It's encrypted, which means scrambled so other people can't read it. The only part that might travel overseas is the sign-in check, which is protected by contract.
Who can see it
Just you, your teachers, and a small support team at Ninnovate who help keep things running, and nobody else.
How long we keep it
While your school uses ML4Schools. Within 180 days of your school stopping, or sooner if you ask, we securely delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we have about you, or to fix it if it's wrong.
The easiest way is to ask your teacher or school. They look after student accounts. You (or a parent/carer) can also email us at [email protected] (Email us).
This is a plain-language summary. The full details are in our Privacy Policy. Parents and carers may want the information sheet for families.
